Bruce Lehrmann Faces Legal Action Over Property Damage and Rent Loss in Sydney

Bruce Lehrmann, known for his involvement in a high-profile defamation case, is now embroiled in legal proceedings over significant damage caused to a rented property in Sydney. During an exclusive TV interview arrangement with the Seven Network, Lehrmann reportedly caused damages amounting to $13,250 at a Balgowlah property owned by Lady Gaenor Meakes.

Following the incident, Meakes has filed proceedings seeking compensation totaling $19,250, which includes the costs of property repairs and lost rent due to Lehrmann’s premature departure.

Lehrmann, who recently appealed a Federal Court defamation loss related to allegations by Brittany Higgins, has drawn further attention due to this new legal dispute. The rental property, now back on the market with an asking price close to $2,000 per week, underscores the financial impact of the damages incurred.

The case is scheduled to return to the tribunal on June 27 for further directions, as both parties seek resolution in light of the property damage and financial losses involved.
